The grievance of the petitioner is that the vehicle bearing Registration No.U.P.- 65-R-6764 is more than 20 years old, and therefore, petitioner wants to surrender the vehicle and get the registration of the vehicle cancelled. The petitioner has submitted an application in Form- च under Rule 22 of the U.P. Motor Vehicles Taxation Rules, 1998, but respondent no.2 is not taking cognizance of the said application. 3. It is submitted that since the vehicle condition is not plyable, therefore, in such view of the fact, the disposal of application of the petitioner is warranted. 4. Learned Standing Counsel would contend that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending and appropriate direction be issued to respondent no.2 to consider the grievance of the petitioner. 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and without adverting into the merits of the case and with the consent of the parties, the writ petition is disposed off permitting the petitioner to file a fresh representation alongwith certified copy of this order raising all his grievances before the respondent no.2- Registration Officer/Assistant Regional Transport Officer (Administration), Motor Vehicle Department, Varanasi within a period of one month from today. In case, any such representation is filed by the petitioner, the respondent no.2 shall consider and decide the same strictly in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date he receives the representation of the petitioner.
