The instant writ petition has been filed for the following relief:- "Direct the Rent Authority, Muzaffar Nagar to decide the Case No.646/2025 (Computerized Case No.D202509550000646), under Section 21(2) of the U.P. Act No.16 of 2021." 3. Counsel for the petitioners states that in view of the provisions contained under Section 33(2) of the U.P. Act No.16 of 2021, the proceeding under Section 21(2) of the Act should be concluded within a period of 60 days but even after expiry of the aforementioned period, the proceeding has not been concluded. He further placed the copy of the order sheet, in order to demonstrate that the case is not proceeding according to the provisions of Section 33(2) of the U.P. Act No.16 of 2021. 4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with the direction to Rent Authority, Muzaffar Nagar to decide the aforesaid proceedings to its logical conclusion, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of 2 months, from the date of production of a certified copy of this order before the authority concerned, after affording proper opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned, in accordance with law.
