Borthakur, learned Standing Counsel, Forest Department, Assam for the State/Opposite Party. 2) The petitioner, namely, Lungthuipou Longmei, son of Gwangulong, resident of Burma Camp, UNB Naga Coloney, Police Station-Dimapur East, District-Dimapur, Nagaland has filed this application under Section 483 BNSS, 2023 on 18.02.2025 praying for his bail in Page No.# 2/2 Khatkhati P.S. GDE No. 011 ER/Offence/14(A) 2024-25/207, registered under Sections 9/39/50/51 of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, in which, the petitioner was arrested on 11.02.2025 and is in custody since then. 3) It is submitted by Mr. N. Alam. R. K., learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that considering his length of detention in custody since 11.02.2025, the petitioner should be considered for his bail in said Khatkhati P.S. GDE No. 011 ER/Offence/14(A) 2024-25/207. 4) During deliberation of the matter, Mr. Borthakur, learned Standing Counsel, Forest Department, Assam placed the Offence Report No. ER/01 dated 10.02.2025 filed in said Khatkhati P.S. GDE No. 011 ER/Offence/14(A) 2024-25/207 under Sections 9/39(1)(b) (d)/50/51(1) of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 against the petitioner, who was apprehended while transporting a carcass of a Barking Deer on his two wheeler vehicle bearing Registration No. NL-07-ED-0216. 5) Since the Offence Report has already been filed on 10.02.2025 in said Khatkhati P.S. GDE No. 011 ER/Offence/14(A) 2024-25/207, the petitioner may approach the Court of learned Sessions Judge, Karbi Anglong, Diphu for his regular bail in said Khatkhati P.S.
