Heard Mr. A.M. Bora, the learned Senior Counsel assisted by Mr. D.K. Baidya appearing for the petitioner as well as Mr. D.P. Goswami, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State of Assam.
2. This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, whereby the petitioner Nilotpal Changmai has prayed for releasing him on bail, after he was arrested in connection with Satgaon P.S. Case No. 32/2025.

3. In the FIR, it is alleged that the petitioner had a boundary dispute that his with his neighbors. They are already involved in several cases. On the day of occurrence, at about 8 AM, the petitioner threatened to kill the son of the informant with a gun and also threatened to kidnap the grand daughter of the informant.
4. On a plain reading of the FIR, it appears that both sides had verbal altercation only.
5. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsels of both sides.
6. The petitioner has already spent 10 days in judicial custody.
7. This Court is of the opinion that the petitioner no longer deserve to be detained in custody for the aforesaid allegation. His bail application is allowed.
8. It is hereby directed that the petitioner, Nilotpal Changmai, who was arrested in connection with Satgaon P.S. Case No. 32/2025, shall be released on bail of ₹2,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kamrup (Metro), Guwahati. With the aforesaid direction, the bail application stands disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
