JUSTICE M.I.ARUN ORAL ORDER 1. The petitioners are relatives of the husband of respondent no.2-complainant. The case has arisen out of a matrimonial dispute between respondent no.2 and her husband. The petitioners herein are charged with offences under Sections 498A, 504 and 506 read with Section 34 of IPC. 2. Respondent No.2 is present before the Court and is duly identified by her respective advocate. 3. It is submitted by both the counsel for the petitioners as well as learned counsel for respondent No.2 that the parties have mutually settled the matter, and it is prayed that the criminal proceedings against the petitioners be quashed. 4. Admittedly, the dispute is marital in nature. The parties have arrived at a compromise. The petitioners are not alleged to have committed any heinous crime. Quashing of the proceedings against the petitioners will serve the interests of both the complainant (respondent No.2) and the petitioners herein allowing them to lead their lives peacefully. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:47963 CRL.P No. 13527 of 2023 5. Learned High Court Government Pleader appearing for respondent No.1 also has no objection for quashing the proceedings. Hence, the following:- ORDER i. The petition is allowed. ii. The proceedings in C.C.No.1434/2023 pending on the file of the Senior Civil Judge and Principal J.M.F.C. Court, Kolar District, K.G.F. insofar as it relates to the petitioners herein are concerned stands quashed. iii. Pending interlocutory applications, if any, stand disposed of.
