ORAL ORDER Learned Additional Government Advocate takes notice for all the respondents. 2. The petitioner is seeking a writ of mandamus directing respondent-Tahsildar, Bhadravathi Taluk, Shivamogga, to consider the representation dated 30.12.2024 at Annexure-E and enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records based on the grant certificate dated 26.03.2018 at Annexure-B. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was granted land in Sy.No.33 to an extent of 2 acres and 20 guntas of Kudligere Hobli, Dodderi Village, Bhadravathi Taluk, Shivamogga District. The petitioner was called upon to pay the kimath and the same was paid and is found at

Annexure-D. Thereafter, saguvali chit was issued to the petitioner on 26.03.2018. However, the name of the petitioner has not been entered in the land records. 3. The writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent-Tahsildar, Bhadravathi Taluk, to verify the records and find out if grant was made in favour of the petitioner, if the petitioner has paid the kimath and whether saguvali chit issued in favour of the petitioner.
If it is found from the records that the facts stated hereinabove are true, then the Tahsildar shall proceed to enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This direction is issued only to enable the entry of the name of the petitioner in the revenue records. Ordered accordingly. - 4 -
