No acquisition proceedings have been initiated, nor the Petitioner has been paid any amount for having been dispossessed of the land. 2. We, therefore, direct the Respondents – Authority to initiate the proceedings for acquisition of the Petitioner’s land and pass the award in terms of provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. If the proceedings are not concluded within the time frame given under the statute, the concerned authority would be directed to deposit a hefty amount with this Court towards the compensation to be paid to the Petitioner. 3.
