Petitioner is agitating a stale claim. 3. It is not under dispute that father of petitioner died in harness in the year 1999 and his claim for compassionate appointment was rejected in the year 2004, which remained unchallenged. 4. Now the petitioner has approached this Court that his claim be considered on ground that he can still be appointed on contract basis. 5. As referred above, petitioner is agitating a stale claim. 6. There is no provision to grant compassionate appointment after more than two and a half decades of death of an employee in harness as it would be against the object of compassionate appointment i.e. to tide over immediate financial crisis . 7. Petitioner's claim was already rejected wayback in the year 2004 i.e. more than two decades ago, which has never been challenged. 8. In the aforesaid circumstances, relief sought in this writ petition cannot be granted. 9. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed with a cost of Rs.1000/- for wasting precious time of this Court. 10. Aforesaid cost be deposited by the petitioner in the High Court Bar Association, Allahabad within one week.
