JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER Learned High Court Government Pleader takes notice for all the respondents. 2. Learned High Court Government Pleader submits that it appears that the petitioner has filed an application in writing, as could be seen at Annexure-C dated 24.09.2004, seeking conversion of the land in question. However, at Annexure-D is another representation given by the petitioner to the Thasildar, Bangalore South Taluk, seeking podi and durast. 3. Learned High Court Government Pleader submits that unless the podi and durast are conducted, a new number is assigned to the land in question, the petitioner cannot seek conversion. In fact, in both cases, applications are required to - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:30493 WP No. 18338 of 2025 be filed online and such applications in writing cannot be accepted by the authorities. 4. Accepting the submission of the learned High Court Government Pleader, the writ petition stands disposed of, reserving liberty to the petitioner to firstly file an application online seeking phodi and durast. If such an application is filed, respondent No.3-Tahsildar, shall consider the same in accordance with law and conduct the podi and durast as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months from the date when the online application would be filed by the petitioner. Thereafter, the petitioner may file an online application seeking conversion in accordance with law. Ordered accordingly.
