Although the petitioner has challenged the impugned order dated 03.05.2025 passed by the learned Additional District Judge, Fast Track Court, Budgam, on various grounds, however, during the course of submissions, learned counsel for the petitioner confined his submissions and submitted that the petitioner would be satisfied if the official respondents are directed to initiate acquisition proceedings in respect of the land owned by the petitioner, and proposed to be used for construction of public road. 2. The statement made by learned counsel for the petitioner is taken on record. 3. In view thereof, it is directed that the official respondents shall initiate the acquisition proceedings if Government intends to utilise the land of the petitioner for public purpose and also assess and pay the compensation strictly as per law within the statutory period governing the subject. 4. It is, however, made clear that this order shall not have any bearing on the proceedings pending before the learned trial court, which shall proceed independently in accordance with law. 5.
