The present writ petition has been filed praying for writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to pay Rs.5,40,783/- alongwith interest to the petitioner. 2. The case of the petitioner is that he was awarded a sub-contract by respondent no.4, who is the main contractor for carrying out certain work under Jal Jeevan Mission. Although, the petitioner has duly executed the work but respondent no.4 has not made the payments. 3. It is clear from the agreement between the petitioner and respondent no.4 that the petitioner was appointed as a Sub-contractor. Article 9 of the agreement states that in case of any dispute between the parties, it shall be open to them to get it settled through arbitration. 4. In such view of the matter, we dispose of the instant petition with liberty to the petitioner to avail the remedies under the contract or such other remedy, as may be advised.
