(ORDER) 25.06.2025 The grievance of the Petitioner, as projected in this Writ Petition, lies in a short compass, in that, the Petitioner seeks correction of the particulars incorporated in the passport issued in her favour by the Respondents No. 2 and 3 in tune with the particulars reflected in the Matriculation Certificate issued in her favour by the Jammu & Kashmir State Board of School Education on 16th of May, 2011. Learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner has submitted that the Petitioner has already filed an application on 22nd of November, 2024 before the Respondents for seeking correction of particulars incorporated in her passport in tune with those reflected in her Matriculation Certificate, however, despite lapse of considerable period of time from the date of receipt of the same, no decision thereon has been taken by the authorities concerned. Learned Counsel further submits that the Petitioner shall feel satisfied in the event the present Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the Respondents to consider the aforesaid application filed by the Petitioner within some reasonable timeframe. In view of above, this Writ Petition shall stand disposed of with a direction to the Respondents No. 2 and 3 to consider the application dated 22nd of November, 2024 filed by the Petitioner for correction of particulars incorporated in her passport as per the Matriculation Certificate issued in her favour by the J&K State Board of School Education. Let consideration be effected and decision taken thereon expeditiously, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date a certified copy of this Order, along with attested copy of the said Matriculation Certificate of the Petitioner, is made available to the Respondents, of course, in accordance with the Rules governing the subject.
