No.26465 of 2025 ORDER By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue patta to the petitioner for the land measuring an extent of 4.34 cents comprised in S.No.458/3, situated at Pennadam, Cuddalore District on conducting enquiry by considering petitioner's representations dated 23.9.2023 and 15.3.2024. 3. He would further submit that unless classification of land is restored as patta land, there could be some difficulty in considering the request of the petitioner for issuance of patta in respect of the subject property comprised in Survey No.458/3. 4. On this being pointed out, learned counsel for petitioner would submit that they may be granted liberty to submit a representation before the 2nd respondent seeking re-classification of subject property as patta land. He would further request that the same may be considered and disposed of within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5. In view thereof, writ petition stands disposed of. It is open to the petitioner to submit a representation/ application before the appropriate respondent seeking reclassification of property as patta land, if any such representation for issuance of patta is submitted by the petitioner, the same shall be considered and appropriate orders shall be passed by the concerned respondent within a period of 8 weeks thereon after affording the petitioner and any other interested party a reasonable opportunity of hearing.
