CRM-M-36679-2025 -1- 225 IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH CRM-M-36679-2025 Date of Decision:18.07.2025 RAJINDER ALIAS RAJINDER KUMAR AND ANOTHER …PETITIONERS VS. STATE OF PUNJAB …RESPONDENT Coram : Hon’ble Mr. Justice N.S.Shekhawat Present : Mr. Karanjeet Singh Brar, Advocate for the petitioners. Mr. Ravneet Singh Joshi, Deputy, A.G., Punjab. *** N.S.Shekhawat J. (Oral) 1. The petitioners have filed the present petition under Section 483 BNSS with a prayer to grant regular bail to them in case FIR No.31 dated 29.05.2024, registered under Sections 370, 34, 120-B IPC of 1860, Police Station Sadiq, District Faridkot. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that this Court has already granted the concession of bail to Seema @ Preet, Kuldeep Kaur and Ranjeet Singh and the case of the petitioners is at par with them. Moreover, Saveena @ Naina, co-accused has also been granted the concession of bail of this Court on 26.05.2025, passed in CRM-M-23540-2025 (Annexure P-2). The petitioners were arrested in the present case on 05.12.2024 and 02.12.2024 respectively and are in custody for the last 07 months. Even the challan has VIPIN KUMAR 2025.07.21 12:08 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this judgment/order CRM-M-36679-2025 -2- been presented against them and there are no chances of early conclusion of the trial. 3. On the other hand, learned State counsel has vehemently opposed the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner on the ground that serious allegations have been levelled against the present petitioners and they do not deserve the concession of bail by this Court. However, he could not dispute that fact that similarly placed co-accused Seema @ Preet, Kuldeep Kaur, Ranjeet Singh and Saveena @ Naina have been admitted to bail. 4. I have heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the record carefully. 5. In the present case, the petitioners are stated to be in custody for the last more than 07 months. It is undisputed that Seema @ Preet, Kuldeep Kaur, Ranjeet Singh and Saveena @ Naina have been admitted to bail by this Court. Thus, the further custody of the petitioners will not serve any useful purpose. 6. Without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the petitioners are ordered to be released on bail subject to their furnishing bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate/Chief Judicial Magistrate, concerned. 18.07.2025 (N.S.
