The case of the petitioner is that the authority is not issuing passport on ground of pendency of a criminal case against him, although in the said case the petitioner has been acquitted long back. 3. We find no material on record to indicate that the petitioner has handed over copy of the order of acquittal to the respondent passport authority, so that he may examine the same and proceed accordingly. 4. We therefore, dispose of the writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to file copy of the order of acquittal passed by the trial court in his favour before the concerned officer, so that further action in the matter relating to grant of passport is taken in accordance with law.
