IN THE HIGH COURT OF HIMACHAL PRADESH, SHIMLA CWP No. 1304/2023 Decided on: 02.07.2025 Ravinder Kumar …Petitioner Versus State of H.P. & Ors. .…Respondents. ………………………………………………………………………………. Coram Ms. Justice Jyotsna Rewal Dua, Judge. Whether approved for reporting?1 For the petitioner: Mr. Rohit, Advocate. For the respondents: Mr. L.N. Sharma, Additional Advocate General, for respondents No.1 & 2. Respondent No.3 is ex-parte. Jyotsna Rewal Dua , J The petitioner had instituted this writ petition against the office order dated 18.03.2023, whereby he has been transferred from Development Block Salooni, District Chamba to Development Block Bhattiyat, District Chamba vice respondent No.3. The main ground for assailing the transfer order was short stay of the petitioner at Salooni i.e. petitioner having been posted at Salooni on 05.03.2021. 2. Four years have gone by. It is a matter of record that petitioner has now completed more than his normal tenure at Salooni. 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 Learned counsel for the petitioner admitted the above facts. Learned counsel submitted that the impugned order has otherwise been rendered infructuous due to time-lag. 3. In view of admitted position, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty reserved to respondent No.2/competent authority to consider the case of the petitioner for transfer afresh, in accordance with law and applicable policy. The order so passed be also communicated to the petitioner. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of. Jyotsna Rewal Dua Judge 2nd July, 2025(rohit)
