26-WP-280-2017.doc IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY CRIMINAL APPELLATE JURISDICTION WRIT PETITION NO. 280 OF 2017 Rajesh Ravi Choudhari … Petitioner Versus The State of Maharashtra and Ors. … Respondents ----- None for the Petitioner. Dr. Dhanlakshmi S. Krishnaiyer, A.P.P. for the Respondent No.1-State. ----- CORAM : MANISH PITALE & SANDESH D. PATIL, JJ. DATE : 12th DECEMBER, 2025. P.C. : 1. None for the Petitioner. This Petition has been pending in this Court since the year 2017. The record shows that it was listed for consideration on 31.01.2017 and on that date also there was no appearance on behalf of the Petitioner. Thereafter, it was not circulated even once and hence, no effective orders have been passed in this Petition for the past eight years. Manisha 1/2 26-WP-280-2017.doc 2. A perusal of the prayer clause shows that the Petitioner has sought a direction to the Respondent No.2-Police Station to take cognizance of the complaint and to register an F.I.R. 3. There is nothing to show as to whether the Petitioner took recourse to appraoch the jurisdictional Magistrate under Section 156(3) of Code of Criminal Procedure to air his grievance for passing orders. The Petitioner has not pursued the present Petition and hence, we are of the opinion that this Petition cannot be kept pending on the record of this Court anymore. 4. Hence, the Petition is dismissed. (SANDESH D. PATIL, J.) (MANISH PITALE , J.) Manisha 2/2
