This petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS of 2023 for quashing of FIR No.0087 dated 09.08.2020 (Annexure P-1) registered under Section 188 of IPC at Police Station Sanaur, District Patiala and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner places reliance upon the order dated 01.10.2024 passed by Hon’ble Division Bench of this Court in CWP-PIL-29-2021 titled as Court on its Own Motion (In Re; Designated Courts for MP’s/ MLA’s) vs. State of Punjab and Others), wherein all the FIRs registered under Section 188 IPC during the period of Covid-2019 pandemic were quashed. However, the present petitioner had not filed the case for quashing of the FIR No.0087 dated 09.08.2020 at that time due to the said pandemic. 3. Notice of motion. 4. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case and the prayer made by the petitioner, the present petition is allowed and FIR No.0087 dated 09.08.2020 (Annexure P-1) registered under Section 188 IPC at Police Station Sanaur, District Patiala alongwith all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, is quashed qua the petitioner in view of order dated 01.10.2024 passed in CWP-PIL-29-2021 titled as Court on its Own Motion (In Re; Designated Courts for MP’s/ MLA’s) vs. State of Punjab and Others, passed by the Hon’ble Division Bench of this Court.
