The petitioner, claiming to be Proprietor and Chief Editor of newspaper running under the name and style “Jammu Express” Sadder Bazar, Jammu Cantt, Satwari, Jammu and Kashmir situated at Raqia Complex, Rahim Bagh Colony, Rambagh Bund, Srinagar, has approached this Court seeking appropriate direction for providing of adequate security in view of the sensitive nature of the occupation he is engaged in. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that he has already filed representation/application before the authorities for providing security cover, however, the same is still pending. He further submits that he would be satisfied if this petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner as per norms and pass appropriate orders as early as possible. His statement is taken on record. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner if any strictly in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.
