For Petitioner(s): Mr.Pa.Saigovindagraja For Respondent(s): Mr.P.Sathish (for R1 to R3) Additional Government Pleader ORDER By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The present Writ Petition is filed seeking direction to the 3 rd respondent to sub - divide petitioner's land comprised in S.F.No.913 / 1 of Billichi Village, Coimbatore North Taluk, Coimbatore District, measuring an extent of 1.63 Acres, and to issue a separate patta in his name for the same, from the Joint patta bearing Patta No.1685 by considering petitioner's Sub - division Patta transfer Application date 10/12/2024 bearing No.2024 / 0105 /12 / 591617 on the file of the 3 rd Respondent. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the property comprised in S.F.No.913/1 of Billichi Village, https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 26749 of 2025 Coimbatore North Taluk, Coimbatore District, measuring an extent of 1.63 Acres and the said property was acquired by the petitioner through a settlement deed dated 22.04.2024 bearing Doc.No.8090 of 2022 registered on the File of the SRO, Periyanaickenpalayam, executed in his favour by his Father. 3.1.It is further submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that a joint patta has been issued for the entire 6.54 Acres in S.F.No.913/1, in respect of his share of 1.63 acres, in the above prospectus, the petitioner submitted a sub-division patta transfer application on 10.12.2024, bearing Application No.2024/0105/12/591617 to the 3 rd respondent. However, the said Application has not been considered so far. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has come before this Court. 4.On this being pointed out, the learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that they would consider petitioner's application within a time frame fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner. 5.In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with the direction to the third respondent to consider the application and pass appropriate orders within a period of sixteen (16) weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy after giving prior notice and https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 26749 of 2025 reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, joint patta holder viz., Karuppannan and other interested parties including rival claimants, if any.
