At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioners submitted at bar that the respondents are going to acquire his land, the details whereof are given in the writ petition, without adopting the due process of law. 2. He further submits that the writ petition may be disposed of at this stage with a direction to the respondents to initiate acquisition proceedings in accordance with law, and to ensure that the compensation is paid to the petitioners as per their legal entitlement under the applicable rules and statutory provisions. 3. The statement made by the learned counsel for the petitioners is taken on record. 4. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of at the motion hearing stage with a direction to the respondents that in case they intend to acquire the petitioners’ land, they shall do so only upon following the due process of law, and shall ensure that compensation is paid in accordance with law. 5.
