3. By means of this writ petition, petitioners have sought the following reliefs:-

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he is not pressing the relief as claimed in prayer no.(i) at this stage and he is confining his relief only to prayer no.(ii).
5. Petitioners were appointed as Deputy Ranger in Forest Department. According to them, they were officiating on the post of Forest Range Officer for more than 08 years, however, their officiating service is not being counted as qualifying service for promotion as Assistant Conservator of Forest. In this regard, petitioners have made a representation to the Principal Chief Conservator Forest (HoFF), on 16.08.2020, which is Annexure-2 to the writ petition.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that Principal Chief Conservator Forest (HoFF) be directed to take decision on the representation, which is pending

consideration since last nearly 05 years.
7. Learned State Counsel submits that he has no objection if petition is disposed of in terms of prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners.

We, accordingly, dispose of the writ petition by directing Principal Chief Conservator Forest, HoFF to consider and decide the representation made by the petitioners on 16.08.2020 (Annexure-2), in accordance with law, within a period of four months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order along with copy of representation.
9. It goes without saying that the decision shall be taken independently on merits.
