A case has been registered againstthe petitioners herein and another for the offences under Sections 20(a), 20(b)(i), 20(b)(ii), 20(b)(ii)(A) r/w 8(b) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. 3. Case of the prosecution in brief, is that on 28.10.2024 at about ll.30 a.m., at a distance of 100 meters after crossing Veernamala Village of Ramakuppam Mandal and in front of the house of the accused at Gurukulamadugu Village, the Deputy Tahsildar, Ramakuppam Mandal, along with his staff, found Al to A3 in possession of 750 Grams of dried ganja leaves. The ganja leaves were recovered from the accused and destroyed by pouring petrol. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. A perusal of the material available on record goes to show that the Deputy Tahsildar burnt the said Ganja leaves recovered from the accused with petrol in the presence of Panchayat members. The procedure adopted by the Deputy Tahsildar is unknown. In order to burn the ganja leaves, there is a procedure contemplated under the NDPS Act and he cannot by 6ZZZ2P ''. i ES. Moreover, the petitioners herein were arrested on 28.10.2024 and sl'nce they are jn judl'cI-al remand. Learned Assistant publI-C Prosecutor submitted that major portion of the investigatI-On has been completed. 6. ln view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this court I'S inclined tO grant bal-I to the petl'tl'oners/Al and A2 hereI-n, on the followI-ng COndjtI-OnS. (i) The petI|tiOnerS herein/Al and A2 herein shall be released on each of them executing a personal bond for Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) each with two suret,'es for a like sum each to the satl'sfaction of the learned Additional Judicl-aI Magistrate of First class, Kuppam. (Ii) On release, the petI'tiOnerS Shall appear before the station House Officer concerned once in a week I'.e. On every Sunday between 10.00 a.m. and 05.00 p.m., till fifing of charge sheet. 7.
