3. In compliance of the said directions, the respondents have filed compliance report by way of affidavit of Shri Ravinder Singh, Managing Director, PRTC, Patiala dated 11.09.2024. 4. Relevant portions of the same are reproduced as under:
“3. That it is submitted that after the retirement of the petitioner all the retiral benefits accrued under the CPF Scheme were released to the petitioner. Now, in compliance of the order dated 18.04.2023 passed by this Hon’ble Court, the Pension Payment Order No.4984/02.08.2024 has been issued to the petitioner and monthly pension @ Rs.3,400/- is being paid to the petitioner. 4.
That it is further submitted that the respondent corporation has also calculated the arrears payable to the petitioner under the Pension Scheme/GPF Scheme, according to which an amount of Rs.40,72,991/- towards arrears of pension has been calculated. However, in terms of the judgment dated 18.04.2023 passed by this Hon’ble Court before releasing the same certain adjustments/recovery of amounts due against the petitioner for the contributions made by PRTC towards his contributory provident & pension funds and excess amount of gratuity and GPF (corporation share) received under CPF rules are required to be made from the said amount. Therefore after adjustments of recovery of Rs.87,760/- a sum of Rs.39,85,231/- in lieu of arrear of pension has been found due, which has been released to the petitioner vide cheque No.554324 dated 11.09.2024.”
