The petitioners claim to be working as Sweepers with Municipal Committee, Kokernag, and it is being submitted by them that they are discharging their duties with full dedication and to the satisfaction of their senior officers. 02. It has been contended that the petitioners were entitled to their first in situ promotion after the completion of nine years of service in the year 2017, but the same has not been granted to them till date. According to the petitioners, their juniors have already been granted in situ promotions, but the said benefit is being denied to them. 03. Issue notice to the respondents. 04. Mr. Ilyas Laway, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 05. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners would be satisfied if the instant writ petition is treated as a representation and their claim is considered by the respondents in accordance with law within a specified time. 06. In view of the above, the petition is disposed of by providing that the instant petition shall be treated as a representation on behalf of the petitioners, which shall be considered by respondent No. 2 in accordance with law and rules governing the field with reasonable dispatch, preferably within a period of two months from the date a copy of this order and a copy of the writ petition is furnished to the said respondent.
