1. This is an ofÏce reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 05.08.2024, passed in MCRC No. 5364 of 2024, while rejecting the bail to the applicant, namely, Abhayram Yadu, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if there was no legal impediment.
3. The learned Additional Sessions Judge (F.T.C.) Raipur, District- Raipur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 25.01.2025 has requested for KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN
2 grant of some more time for concluding the trial.
4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that in this case, there are total 25 prosecution witnesses, only 4 witnesses have been examined so far. The remaining 21 witnesses are yet to be examined. Despite repeated summons and warrants issued on various dates, the witnesses have not appeared and the police have failed to serve the summons. As a result, the case could not be concluded within the stipulated time. Hence the conclusion of the trial is likely to take some time. Therefore, he prays for grant of further more time for concluding the same.
5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today.
6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
7. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/-
