(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are the elected members of the Gram Panchayat of village Dhilwan, Tehsil Samrala, District Ludhiana. Land belonging to the Panchayat measuring 7 kanals and 5½ Marlas had been encroached upon by the private respondents. The Gram Panchayat had preferred a petition before the Collector-cum-District Development and Panchayat Officer, Ludhiana who by the order dated 31.08.2022 (Annexure P-1) directed respondent No.5-Tehsildar to duly deliver the possession of the disputed land to the Gram Panchayat. He submits that the order has obtained finality but the possession has not been delivered to the Gram Panchayat to date. He also submits that the petitioners have sent representation dated 05.05.2025 (Annexure P-2) to the respondent No.4-BDPO but no action has been taken thereon and therefore, petitioners are seeking directions from the competent authority to consider and decide their representation. 2.
