By means of the present writ petition, petitioner seeks the following reliefs: "(i) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of certiorari to quash the impugned order dated 31.05.2024 passed by the respondent no. 2 (Annexure No. 5 to the writ petition). (ii) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent authorities not to recover the amount without provisional assessment under section 126 of the U.P. Electricity Act, 2003." 3. On perusal of the documents, it is clear that an alternative efficacious remedy is available to the petitioner by way of filing an appeal under section 127 of the U.P. Electricity Act, 2003. 4. In light of the same, we direct the petitioner to file an appeal. If such an appeal is filed within eight weeks from date, the authority concerned is directed to hear up the matter expeditiously, preferably within a period of three month.
