No. 312 of 2025 PRAYER This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to pass appropriate order to 3rd respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner and devotees of Arulmigu Iyyanar Temple, Porur , Vikravandi Taluk Villupuram District on basis of the representation dated 04.04.2025 given by the petitioner in his capacity as Trustee of the said Temple, to the respondent. ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent-Police to pass appropriate order to the third respondent-Police to provide police protection to the petitioner and devotees of Arulmigu Iyyanar Temple, Porur, Vikravandi Taluk Villupuram District on basis of the petitioner's representation dated 04.04.2025 in his capacity as Trustee of the said Temple. 2. 3. It is submitted by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents-Police that the alleged temple belongs to HR&CE Department. However, the petitioners are claiming right over the temple. If the petitioner has any specific right over the temple, they have to establish the same before the competent civil Court. They cannot make use of the Police to get protection under the guise of devotees of the temple to enter into the temple. Hence, this petition cannot be entertained. 4. The petitioner is not entitled to the relief as sought for by the petitioner in this petition. However, the petitioner is at liberty to workout his remedy in the manner known to law, if he has got any specific right over the temple. 5.
