Neutral Citation No. (2025:JHHC:27629) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 3824 of 2025 Santu Kumar Singh @ Santu Singh, S/o Rajendra Singh, aged about 25 years, resident of vill.- Laganwa, P.O.- Shiladih, P.S.- Gorhar, Dist.- Hazaribagh. … Petitioner - Versus - The State of Jharkhand … Opp. Party ------ CORAM: - HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH ----- For the Petitioner : Mrs. Ritu Kumar, Advocate For the State : Mr. Suraj Deo Munda, A.P.P. --- 04/10.09.2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with S.T. No.518 of 2024 arising out of Gorhar P.S. Case No. 33 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 80, 3(5) of the B.N.S., pending in the court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-VI-cum-Special Judge C.A.W., Hazaribagh. Petitioner happens to be the husband of the deceased Sangita Devi, who died homicidal death in her matrimonial home. It was submitted that petitioner was not present at the place of occurrence at the time of occurrence. Attention has been drawn towards the statement of the witnesses recorded in the case diary, from perusal of which it appears that deceased was having illicit relationship with two persons Rahul Paswan and Saddam Ansari. Being aggrieved, the petitioner left his house and went to Goa. It further appears that on the date of occurrence Sangita Devi was caught red handed with Rahul Paswan, due to which family members of the petitioner assaulted her and she succumbed to her injuries. Considering the nature of allegation, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-VI-cum-Special Judge C.A.W., Hazaribagh, in connection with S.T. No.518 of 2024 arising out of Gorhar P.S. Case No. 33 of 2024. (Ambuj Nath, J.) Jay/-
