The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent-authorities to provide gunner/security cover to the petitioner, and in this regard representations are stated to have been submitted. 3. Counsel for the State respondents submits that as per the records of the petition, the petitioner is seeking security on the ground that an FIR had been registered by his father in respect of an incident where the petitioner had sustained injuries. He submits that in this view of the matter, petitioner may apply for security under the Witness Protection Scheme. 4. Counsel for the petitioner accordingly submits that he would seek his remedy by applying under the aforesaid scheme before the concerned authority. 5. The petition is disposed of.
