It is the case of the petitioner that he is a tenant of a house, situated in Indira Vihar Colony, Sunehra Road Roorkee, Pargana and Tehsil Rooekee, District Haridwar. The landlord is the private respondent Neki Ram. The eviction proceedings were initiated against him, which were challenged by him in Civil Revision No.121 of 2024 (“the revision”), in which, the proceedings of execution case have been stayed, by this Court on 07.05.2025. But now, the landlord has got the electricity connection disconnected. The petitioner had applied for electricity connection, but the respondent no.2 is not giving him any connection. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that execution proceedings have already been stayed by this Court in the revision, but despite that the landlord has got the electricity connection disconnected; the petitioner has applied for its connection, but it is not being given to him. Learned counsel for the respondent no.2 would submit that if the petitioner pays the entire dues and three times to the normal security, the connection would be provided to him. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is ready to pay the dues and securities, as proposed by the learned counsel for the respondent no.2. The Court takes on record the statement given by the learned counsel for the respondent no.2 as well as the statement given by the learned counsel for the petitioner. In view of the statements given, the writ petition is disposed of. The petitioner shall apply for electricity connection and deposit all the dues and security. Once it is done, the respondent no.2 shall proceed to grant electricity connection to the petitioner.
