It appears that on account of adverse police verification report, the Regional Passport Officer, has so far not issued passport to the petitioner in pursuance of his application dated 16.01.2025. According to the petitioner, there was only one criminal case i.e. Case Crime No.99 of 2020, under Sections 323, 504, 506, 452 IPC and in which too a closure report No.34 of 2000 was submitted on 18.07.2020 in the Court. 3. However, counsel for the petitioner is unable to state whether the final report has been accepted by the court or not. He submits that petitioner has already submitted a representation clarifying his stand and consequently the passport officer be directed to take decision in the matter. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the Regional Passport Officer, fairly states that the Regional Passport Officer will take decision in the matter, expeditiously. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 to take appropriate decision on the application of the petitioner, for issuance of passport within four weeks' from the date of communication of the instant order alongwith photo copy of the representation dated 07.04.2025.
