Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though it is true that the petitioner’s father, late Sri Ramachandra @ Javariah, had executed a bail bond standing surety to an accused person and action is taken to forfeit the lands, namely 1 acre 24 guntas of land in Survey No.80/3 of Bhuvanahalli Village, Hebbal Hobli, K.R.Nagara Taluk, Mysore District, nevertheless, it is pointed out that the notice/order at Annexure-D is issued by the Revenue Inspector, who is not competent to do so. 3. Learned Additional Government Advocate submits that if the Tahsildar is the competent authority, then the Tahsildar will be directed to issue notice and take action in accordance with law. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:37531 WP No. 28377 of 2025 4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of while setting aside the impugned notice at Annexure-D issued by respondent No.2 -Revenue Inspector Hebbalu Hobli, while also reserving liberty to the competent authority to proceed further in terms of the forfeiture of the lands in question in accordance with law. Liberty is also reserved to the petitioner to pay the bail bond amount in accordance with law to enable the removal of the forfeiture placed on the lands in question. Ordered accordingly.
