Show cause notice dated 03.06.2025 issued by the respondent No.2/District Magistrate, Farrukhabad under Section 17(3) of the Arms Act, 1959 is under challenge by which the firearm license of the petitioner has been suspended 2. It is argued by learned counsel for the petitioner that reply of the aforesaid notice has already been submitted by the petitioner before the respondent No.2 on 11.07.2025. It is argued that considerable time has already been lapsed but till date no decision has been taken in the matter. 3. On the other hand, it is argued by learned Standing Counsel that the respondent No.2 will pass appropriate order in the matter expeditiously. 4. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 5. In the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of directing the respondent No.2/District Magistrate, Farrukhabad to pass appropriate orders in the matter most expeditiously and preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order along with reply dated 11.07.2025 before him.
