HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:37170 CRL.P No. 9365 of 2025
2. The petitioner has approached this Court seeking quashing of the proceedings pending in the above- mentioned case on the ground that the acquisition proceedings in respect of the subject property had lapsed long ago and that the original landowners had thereafter conveyed the property by executing a duly registered sale deed. It is submitted that the petitioner, having derived title under a registered sale deed from his vendor, now seeks to resist the action initiated under the provisions of the Land Grabbing Act.
3. It is to be noted that proceedings under the Land Grabbing Act are summary in nature. The proper course open to the petitioner is to contest the matter before the competent authority by filing detailed objections. There is no impediment for the petitioner to place on record all relevant title documents and demonstrate that the property in question is a private property, thereby ousting the jurisdiction of the authority concerned.

HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:37170 CRL.P No. 9365 of 2025 Reserving liberty to the petitioner to raise all permissible contentions and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present petition stands dismissed. All pending interlocutory applications, if any, are
disposed of in terms of this order. Sd/- (SACHIN SHANKAR MAGADUM) JUDGE HDK List No.: 1 Sl No.: 22 CT: BHK
