Serial No. 06 Regular Cause List HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT SRINAGAR LPA No. 97/2019 Sumiya Niyaz … Appellant(s) Through: - None. V/s State of J&K and Ors. … Respondent(s) Through: - None. CORAM: Hon’ble Mr Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Judge Hon’ble Mr Justice Sanjay Parihar, Judge (ORDER) 01.07.2025 01. Impugned in this appeal filed under Clause 12 of the Letters Patent is an Order and Judgment of the learned Single Judge dated 1st of April, 2019 passed in SWP No. 2012/2017, whereby the learned Single Judge has allowed the Petition of the Respondent No.5 herein and quashed the selection of the Appellant herein. 02. From reading of the impugned Judgment, it transpires that the selection in question was in respect of a post of Veterinary Consultant to be engaged on contractual basis for a period of one year. 03. The impugned Judgment passed by the Writ Court was stayed by this Court on 9th of May, 2019. Much water has flown after the filing of the present appeal and, therefore, this appeal, due to subsequent developments, has been rendered infructuous. It is because of this reason that the Appellant has not turned up to appear and argue the matter. 04. In view of above, this appeal shall stand dismissed for want of prosecution. Interim direction(s), if any subsisting as on date, shall stand vacated.
