Earlier, the petitioner was granted bail by a Coordinate Bench of this Court by order dated 29.07.2024. The Informant approached the Hon’ble Supreme Court for cancellation of bail. The Hon’ble Apex Court by setting aside the order passed by the Coordinate Bench of this Court, remanded the matter back to this Court for reconsideration of the bail application of the petitioner. 4. On 03.03.2023 at about 8.45 P.M., son of the Informant namely Shaurya Kumar went to buy biscuits. Thereafter he went missing. Later on, it was found from the recording of the CCTV Camera installed outside the house of the Informant that an unknown person in Swift Dezire Car bearing No. BR 01EH 4217 has kidnapped the victim. 5. During the course of investigation, dead body of the victim was found concealed in a gunny bag at a place near Saporam Tank, Ring Road, Ranchi. It further transpired from the call dump report of the place of occurrence that the holder of the mobile phone no. 8789830230 was present at the place of occurrence. The petitioner was the holder of the said mobile phone. He was 2. apprehended. He confessed his guilt that he had kidnapped the victim for ransom. He further confessed that he has changed the number plate of the car by using a fake number plate being JH 01ER 2485. On his pointing out, broken piece of this number plate was recovered. It further appears that the petitioner had hired the car from Maa Tour and Travels Agency. The proprietor of the agency identified the petitioner as the person who had hired the car.
