13 IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB & HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH 215 CWP-4458-2018 (O&M) Date of decision: 25.03.2025 Mohit Dua ...Petitioner VERSUS National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra and others ...Respondents CORAM : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VINOD S. BHARDWAJ Present :- Mr. Deepak Kundu, Advocate for the petitioner(s). Mr. A.S. Virk, Advocate for respondents No. 1 and 2. ***** VINOD S. BHARDWAJ, J. (Oral) Challenge in the present petition is to the recommendations of Anomaly Committee dated 06.10.2017 on New Recruitment Rules to the extent it provides relaxation only to the existing Assistant Professors who were Ph.D. holders, for promotion to the post of Associate Professor in new 4-Tier cadre structure on having six/nine years experience as Assistant Professors. Learned counsel for respondents No.1 and 2 submits that the selection process has already been completed and that the reply could not be filed on account of certain mis-communication. Learned counsel for the petitioner, however, contends that he has no further instructions from the petitioner despite best efforts. It seems that the petitioner may not be interested in pursuing the instant writ petition any further. Dismissed for non-prosecution. Liberty is, however, granted to the counsel for the petitioner to seek revival of the present petition, in case the grievance still subsists. All pending civil misc. application(s), if any, stand disposed of. (VINOD S. BHARDWAJ) 25.03.2025 JUDGE Mangal Singh Whether speaking/reasoned : Yes/No Whether reportable : Yes/No MANGAL SINGH 2025.03.26 17:05 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
