(ORAL) Prayer made in this writ petition is for seeking directions to the respondents to Constitute Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Senior Police Officers of the State or in the alternative to direct respondent No.2 to inquire into the incident dated 02.08.2022 whereby minor grandson of the petitioner was illegally detained and tortured at Police Station, CIA-2, Anaj Mandi, Panipat for extracting information regarding his father. Besides, departmental proceedings have also been initiated against the erring police officials. 3 An unqualified apology has also been submitted by Ajit Singh Shekhawat, the erstwhile Superintendent of Police, Panipat which is taken on record as Mark ‘X’. 4 Considering that the dispute has been amicably resolved between the parties in so far as the grievance espoused in the present writ petition is concerned and taking into account the unqualified apology tendered, the present writ petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. 5 Pending misc. application(s), if any, shall also stand(s) disposed of accordingly.
