Mr. Rahul Pathania, Advocate and Mr. Lalit Garg, Advocate with Ms. Naginder Kaur, Deputy Manager, for respondent No.6-New India Assurance Company Ltd. * * * * As agreed, as per statements of learned counsel for the appellants, learned counsel and representatives of the respondent-Insurance Companies (separately recorded), a sum of Rs.6,75,000/- (Rs.Six Lakh Seventy Five Thousand Only) over and above the amount awarded by the Tribunal is allowed to the appellants in full and final settlement of the claim in this appeal. As per the statement of learned counsel for the appellants, the enhanced amount be paid to appellant No.6. In this appeal the liability to pay the claim amount has been fastened upon two Insurance Companies i.e. respondent No.3-National Insurance Co. Ltd. and respondent No.6-New India Assurance Co. Ltd. to the extent of 50% each. Accordingly, we dispose of this case with a direction to respondent No.3-National Insurance Co. Ltd. and respondent No.6-New India Assurance Co. Ltd. to deposit a crossed-cheque for Rs.3,37,500/- each in the name of appellant No.6-Baldev Singh with the office of the Lok Adalat of the High Court on or before six weeks from the date of this order, failing which, interest @ 9% per annum shall follow on this amount till payment from the date of this order.
