It is the case of the petitioners that they are the employees of Almora Dairy Development Corporation Limited. They have not been paid enhanced Dearness Allowance (“DA”) w.e.f. 2019. Various communications have already been made by the concerned department to the authorities, but no action has been taken. Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that, that the petitioners are employees of Almora Dairy Dugdh Sehkari Sangh (“the Sangh”); they have not been paid the enhanced DA for a long; they have already made representations; the General Manager of the Sangh had made a communication to the respondent no.2/the Director, Dairy Development Department, Haldwani, District Nainital to take a decision on the matter, but yet no action has been taken. The communication dated 16.02.2022 of the General Manager of the Sangh is part of Annexure No.4 to the writ petition. Learned State Counsel would submit that the respondent no.2/the Director, Dairy Development Department, Haldwani, District Nainital would take a decision on the representation(s) within a period of six weeks. The Court takes on record the statement given by learned counsel for the respondent no.2/the Director, Dairy Development Department, Haldwani, District Nainital. The petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent no.2/the Director, Dairy Development Department, Haldwani, District Nainital to take a decision on the communication dated 16.02.2022 of the General Manager of the Sangh (Annexure No.4 too the writ petition) within a period of six weeks from today.
