The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondent no.2 to issue character certificate to the petitioner within a specified time period. Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has duly applied for issuance of character certificate through online mode, and the said application is pending. 3. Learned Standing Counsel states that the application which is stated to has been filed by the petitioner, would be appropriately dealt with. 4. Having regard to aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent no.2 to examine the application of the petitioner for issuance of character certificate and pass an order thereon within a period of four weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
