JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER The prayer in the writ petition is to issue a writ of mandamus directing respondent No.5 - Tahasildar, Mysore - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:38590 WP No. 25554 of 2025 Taluk to consider the applications dated 19.12.2022 and 21.09.2023 at Annexures-A and A1 and further direct the Assistant Director of Land Records to act in terms of the communication dated 04.10.2023 made by the Principal Secretary, Revenue Department to remove the word “Katte” in the Village Map and declare the same as cultivable land. 2. On the previous occasion, this Court had directed the learned High Court Government Pleader to secure instructions from the Tahasildar as to why he has not acted although the Principal Secretary of the Revenue Department had made such communication on 04.10.2023. Learned High Court Government Pleader submits on instructions that the incumbent Tahasildar has taken charge recently and he will look into the matter on the applications filed by the petitioner and pass necessary orders, as expeditiously as possible. 3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of, directing the respondent No.5-Tahasildar and the - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:38590 WP No. 25554 of 2025 concerned Assistant Director of Land Records to proceed to consider the applications filed by the petitioner, having regard to the communication made by the Principal Secretary, Revenue Department on 04.10.2023 at Annexure-B and pass necessary orders as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
