Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC:132626-DB Chief Justice's Court Case :- PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION (PIL) No. - 1900 of 2025 Petitioner :- Haidar Ali and 3 others Respondent :- State of U.P. and 7 others Counsel for Petitioner :- Amar Nath Tiwari, Raj Kumar Chauhan, Umair Mahmood Counsel for Respondent :- Arun Kumar Pandey, Jagdish Pathak (S.C.) Hon'ble Arun Bhansali,Chief Justice Hon'ble Kshitij Shailendra,J.
1. This petition, purportedly in public interest, has been filed by the petitioners seeking a direction to the respondents to hold enquiry against the Ex-Village Pradhan-respondent no. 7 in relation to the work done in the years 2017 to 2021.
2. Allegations have been made pertaining to the wrong doing on part of the respondent no. 7 in undertaking the work of the Gram Panchayat.
3. A perusal of the record indicates that for the first time, after a passage of four years, the petitioners have started making representations levelling allegations against respondent no. 7.
4. The sudden awaking from the slumber with regard to the allegations of the years 2017 to 2021, apparently is on account of the impending elections.
5. Filing of PIL apparently is mala fide and, therefore, the same cannot be entertained. The petition is, therefore, dismissed. Order Date :- 6.8.2025 RK/AKShukla (Kshitij Shailendra, J) (Arun Bhansali, CJ) Digitally signed by :- RAJESH KUMAR High Court of Judicature at Allahabad
