Mr. Indresh Goel, Advocate, for respondent Nos. 4 and 5. *** SUDHIR SINGH (ORAL) By way of the present writ petition, the petitioners have sought issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to complete the construction work of the proposed underpass in a time bound manner. 2. Today, on resumed hearing, a status report dated 05.04.2025, has been tendered by learned counsel for respondent Nos.4 and 5, which is taken on record. The relevant part of the status report reads as under:- AJAY PRASHER 2025.04.21 13:17 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CWP-18410-2023 (O&M) -2- “Work of construction of RUB/LHS is in progress at Level Crossing No.56, following work have been executed at the date: 1. Casting of RCC Box & Pushing of the same has been completed under Railway track. 2. Construction of RCC Box in front of temple also completed. 3. Construction of approach road towards MASD School has been completed. 4. Construction of approach road towards TDI City parallel to Railway track has been also completed. 5. Construction of approach road towards G.T. Road side is in progress and approximately more than 70% completed & is in progress, overall progress of work 85%. 6. Simultaneously work of covering shed, other miscellaneous work pertaining to drainage arrangement also is in progress. 7. Work got delayed due to some unavoidable circumstances, as various unforeseen hurdles occurred during execution of work and work is in continuous progress now. 8. Work of approach road towards highway is in progress. There exist some eucalyptus trees along the approach road work which are required to be fell down to complete the approach road work. For felling or cutting of these trees application for NOC and cutting of trees is already with forest department. Case is being chased with forest department on regular basis, so that work can be completed at the earliest.” 3. It has been further stated that the work will be completed by May 2025 subject to permission or NOC from the Forest Department for cutting of eucalyptus trees. 4. After going through the status report filed on behalf of respondent Nos. 4 and 5, no further order is required to be passed in this petition.
