Petitioner has been made an accused in connection with Chainpur P.S case no. 214/2022 corresponding to N.D.P.S Case No- 12A/2022 for the offence under sections 20 and 22 of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the court of Shri Niraj Kumar Srivastav, learned Special Judge under N.D.P.S Act, Palamau.
On 15.09.2022, Chainpur police on the basis of confidential information raided the house of co-accused Dhrub Kumar Gupta and on search 14 kgs of cannabis were recovered. from there. The police party also raided the house of Vikram Mahto and from there 1kg and 400 grams of cannabis were recovered from there. It appears that shop of another co accused was also raided and 3 kgs of cannabis were recovered from there.
It was submitted that the name of the petitioner has come in the confession of co-accused persons. It was further submitted that nothing incriminating was recovered from the possession of the petitioner. It was finally submitted that co-accused persons from whose possession cannabis were recovered has been granted bail by co-ordinate bench of this Court.
Regard being had to the facts and circumstance of the case, the petitioner named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Shri
Niraj Kumar Srivastav, learned Special Judge under N.D.P.S Act, Palamau or his successor in connection with Chainpur P.S case no. 214/2022 corresponding to N.D.P.S Case No-12A/2022.
