1. Mr. J.M.A. Choudhury, learned counsel appears for the petitioner, while Mr. G. Bokalial, learned counsel appears for all the respondents.
2. The petitioner’s counsel submits that the petitioner has submitted an appeal to the Appellate Authority under Article Order 29 of the Assam Public Distribution of Articles Order, 1982, against the cancellation of his fair price shop licence, vide Appeal Case No.FPD&CA.15/2024/551300. However, the same not been disposed of till date.
3. Mr. G. Bokalial, learned counsel for the State respondents submits that as the petitioner has submitted an appeal before the Appellate Authority under Article Order 29 of the Assam Public Distribution of Articles Order, 1982 , the writ petition can be disposed of, with a direction to the Appellate Authority to take a decision on the petitioner’s appeal, within a specified time period.
4. On considering the fact that the petitioner has filed an appeal against the cancellation of his fair price shop licence, vide Appeal Case No.FPD&CA.15/2024/551300, the Appellate Authority is directed to take a decision on the petitioner’s appeal, within a period of 1 (one) month from the

5. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
