JUSTICE M.I.ARUN ORAL ORDER The accused had agreed to sell an apartment in a multi- storied residential apartment complex being constructed by them. As they could not complete the said construction and deliver possession of the apartment to the complainant as agreed upon, it gave rise to civil as well as criminal dispute and an FIR in Crime No.32/2020 came to be registered on the file of IV Additional CMM, Bengaluru. The transaction is predominantly civil in character. The parties have filed a joint affidavit dated 27.10.2025, wherein the complainant has agreed that the matter has been settled as mentioned in the compromise and he is satisfied. 2. The complainant and the authorized representative of accused no.1-company are present before the Court and are duly identified by their respective counsel. They together request that the proceedings in FIR in Crime No.32/2020 be quashed. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:43861 WP No. 13265 of 2021 3. As the facts reveal that the dispute is primarily civil in nature which has given a criminal colour, and since the civil dispute has been settled amicably between the parties, I am of the opinion that interest of justice would be served if the FIR in Crime No.32/2020 is quashed insofar as it relates to the petitioners herein. 4. Hence, the following: ORDER 1. The FIR in Crime No.32/2020 pending on the file of IV Additional CMM, Bengaluru insofar as it relates to the petitioners herein are concerned stands quashed. 2.
