Page No.# 2/3 promoted as Deputy Inspector of Schools, Dhemaji from the post of BEEO, Laharighat should be set aside. 2. The petitioner’s counsel submits that the promotion order requires the petitioner to move to an office, which is 340 KM away. The petitioner is suffering from various medical ailments and his elder daughter is going to appear in the HSLC examination, which has already started from 15.02.2025. Further, the petitioner is going to retire within less than one year. 3. The petitioner’s counsel submits that the petitioner has also written a representation dated 04.02.2025, praying that the petitioner should be exempted from being promoted to the post of Deputy Inspector of Schools, Dhemaji from the post of BEEO, Laharighat, Morigaon. She submits that the writ petition can be disposed of, if a direction is issued to the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of School Education, to dispose of the petitioner’s representation. 4. Mr. P. K. Bora, learned counsel for the respondent Nos. 1 & 3 submits that he has got no objection to the prayer made by the petitioner’s counsel. 5. In view of the consent of the parties, the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of School Education is directed to take a decision on the petitioner’s representation dated 04.02.2025, within a period of one month from today. The petitioner shall serve a copy of this order along with a copy of the writ petition to the Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of School Education, within a period of one week from today.
